The Filipino Computer Training center – is a non-profit, non-political organization under the auspices of the Philippine Embassy and Philippine Consulate General, internationally.
To provide free computer education, training and facilities to our countrymen.
To serve as a forum for computer users and professionals.
To contribute our share in the development of our host country.
Since the founding of the club in 1996, more than 12,000 have completed the tuition-free I. T. Trainings which covers Introduction to Information Technology, DOS and Windows, MS Word, Basic and Advanced MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Basic and Advanced MS Access, Basic and Advanced HTML Web Design Course, Macromedia Flash Animation and others.
We are conducting workshops and seminars for our members regularly. To date, we have had presentations on BBS, Windows Operating Systems, PC Utilities, Latest Trends & Development in IT, Internet, IBM PC Architecture, Scanning Photographs for Use in Web, Web Fundamentals for Internet Enthusiasts and Java Scripting.
We have already networked our facilities at computer room with 15 new Pentium 4 powered PCs. Plans are underway to set up our own Library of Books and CD ROMs, and Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) Line which offers continuous access to the Internet.
We have also conducted Computer Training Outreach Program to our countrymen on October 4, 2002 in Fujairah, east coast of the Emirates about 140km from Dubai.
To enable us to achieve our goals we have enlisted the support of volunteers and Filipino professionals. What we lack in equipment we have solicited from private companies. Additional funds were also collected during our Halloween Party’s Fund Raising Drive, UN A La Mode and Raffle Draws which has helped us sustain our activities.
Lastly, the active participation of the Filipino community and the generosity and support of our government through the Philippine Embassy, Consulate General, Philippine Overseas Labor Office and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration have always been our strength and source of inspiration in this endeavor.
